Education Isn’t Optional. It’s Everything.

Education is at the heart of everything we do. It started with Spencer who had worked as a volunteer at a youth organization. He and the kids used to build pedal go-karts together, to arrange races with. They used the materials they had available and Spencer was surprised by the original ideas and constructions the kids came up with. That joy, that spark, it stuck with him.

He thought, what if more kids could experience this? Not just as play, but as a way to learn real skills, problem-solving, building, thinking for themselves. The idea for Infento was born. Spencer shared his thoughts with his brother in law, Sander, who had his own company in design, just like Spencer himself. Sander loved the idea and they put all their time into making the dream reality.

Since then, that idea has traveled far. Today, our Kits are used in classrooms, maker labs, and after-school programs all over the world. Teachers tell us the same thing: kids learn more when they’re building. They’re more focused, more engaged. And they remember it: because THEY made it.

We’re proud of that. Education is at the heart of what we do. Always has been. And we’ll keep working to give more kids, in more places, the chance to build more than rides: Confidence, creativity, and a future they’re excited about.

It’s all about passion

We build every Infento Kit right here in Amsterdam. Same building where we sketch out new ideas, test wild prototypes, and cut every single aluminum profile. Most of us have worked on the Kits from start to finish. So we know them inside out. This isn’t some big automated factory. It’s a workshop. A real one. With tools, noise, laughter, and a team that cares a lot about getting things right.

We’re proud of that. When we pack a box, we know where it’s going, to a family that’s going to open it up and start building something real. So yeah, we double-check the parts. We line things up neatly. We’ve even been known to argue over how to fold the manuals best. Because we care. You can’t fake that.

We use strong stuff: thick aluminum, reinforced plastic, stainless steel where it matters. To make it look good, sure, but above all to make sure it lasts. We want your kids to ride these builds, crash them, fix them, rebuild them. Again and again. That’s the whole point. Less waste. More memories.

It takes more time to do things this way. We think it’s worth it. Every time a kid rides something they built, or a parent tells us their child learned how to use a hex key for the first time, that’s the reward. That’s why we do it.

It wasn’t polished. It wasn’t perfect. But it was powerful. This first life-size ride was built using aluminum profiles, adjustable joints, and mechanical connectors that could be repurposed again and again.
This early prototype proved a big idea: It was possible to build life-size, functional rides with one modular system.

In 2016, Infento was launched on Kickstarter and made history.
It became the fastest funded educational toy ever, hitting its goal in hours and soaring to nearly 10 times the target. Backers from over 40 countries validated this bold idea and Infento was launched into homes across the globe.

To ensure full control over quality, sustainability, and creativity, Infento opened its own factory in Amsterdam. No outsourcing. No shortcuts.
Here, each Kit is assembled by our own team with care and precision. It’s where prototypes are tested, innovations are born, and dreams get boxed and shipped to over 45 countries.

the ePulse System was introduced: a powerful, modular hub motor designed specifically for our life-size rides. No exposed wires, no complex coding. Just seamless integration with our existing building system. The ePulse motor brought a whole new level of performance to Infento. It empowered families to create fully functional electric GoKarts, scooters, drift trikes, and more.

Infento 2.0 was launched: a completely re-engineered system designed to make Kits lighter, stronger, and even more modular. A new design language, new components, and a huge leap forward in creativity and compatibility. 2.0 was our biggest upgrade ever and it is just the beginning…
